About the "Polish Eagle"
The "Polish Eagle" song and dance ensemble was formed in 1997 by Mr. Konrad Kasparek, and shortly thereafter became one of the first groups to begin working a the Franklin Horner Community centre. The group is comprised of over 60 members ranging in age from four and up. The groups' primary goal is to teach Polish culture (language and tradition) through song and dance. This is a non-profit organization and exists thanks to the help and volunteer work of parents, as well as many corporate sponsors. With their help our group can organize dances, picnics and concerts to raise money for costumes, instructors, music, and any out of town performances that might come up.

We have performed for Polish dance festivals, for Canada Day celebrations, for members of Parliament, and various cultural festivals around Toronto as well as performing for the people of Poland. Our group has also participated in competition at the "CHIN INTERNATIONAL PICNIC" and has been rewarded both the 3rd and 2nd place positions.

The Director of the "Polish Eagle" Song and Dance group is Mr. Konrad Kasparek who was recently awarded the Toronto Canada Day Achievement award for 15 years of voluntary contribution towards the multicultural community in Toronto.
